Wisconsin governor vetoes additional reporting requirements for DSPS
Wisconsin's governor has vetoed two bills that would have created additional reporting requirements for the Department of Safety and Professional Services. The bills would have required reporting of licensing application and renewal statistics, as well as posing of application data on the DSPS website. In his veto, the governor noted that the Legislature had not provided necessary resources for implementation of the proposed requirements or the staff and resources needed to address the department's workload.
