Oregon to register data brokers

A new law in Oregon will establish registration requirements for data brokers, companies that collect personal or professional information and sell it to third parties. Data brokers will register with the Department of Consumer and Business Services, with registration valid for one year. Applicants will need to have an active business registration and submit information about their opt-out policy for consumers, which will be published online.
