Australia and India sign MOU for financial planners

The Financial Advice Association of Australia (FAAA) has signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Financial Planning Standards Board (FPSB) in India. This agreement aims to promote cross-border mobility and professional development for Certified Financial Planners (CFPs) in both countries, addressing Australia’s financial adviser shortage and enhancing the ability to serve Australia's large Indian diaspora. The partnership will include the development of educational resources, certification alignment, and support for regulatory requirements, facilitating mutual opportunities for CFPs in Australia and India to gain international experience and qualifications.
