Illinois updates online licensing system
The Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) recently launched a new online licensing system called the Comprehensive Online Regulatory Environment (CORE). This platform is designed to streamline the application process for professional licenses by replacing paper applications with a fully digital system. CORE aims to provide applicants with better control over their materials and help reduce errors in submitted applications. The launch is part of a multiphase approach that, over the next two years, will integrate licensing processes for over 300 professional categories and manage records for more than 1.2 million licensed professionals across Illinois.
