US and Canada: nursing exam pass rates will not change
Passing rates for nursing exams in the US and Quebec are declinign since the beginning of the pandemic - 50% of candidates in Quebec failed the September 2022 exam, and pass rates have dropped by 4% overall in the US. The Order of Nurses of Quebec issued a press release last month saying it will not lower the passing standard, emphasizing the goal to "ensure the competence and integrity of nurses in Quebec." The National Council of State Boards of Nursing will also uphold its current passing standard and continue to analyze the passing standard every three years.
