New York requires cybersecurity training for attorneys

New York becomes the first US jurisdiction to require cybersecurity, privacy, and data protection training for attorneys. Oe continuing legal education credit hour will be required biennially beginning July 1, 2023. "Cybersecurity, privacy and Data protection-ethics must relate to lawyers’ ethical obligations and professional responsibilities regarding the protection of electronic data and communication."
