Michigan considers hunting and fishing guide licensure

Two bills under consideration in the Michigan Senate would create occupational licensing requirements for hunting and fishing guides. Requirements would include a driver's license and hunting or fishing license, certification in CPR and first aid, and no felony convictions in the past three years. Licensed guides would be required to submit annual (hunting) or monthly (fishing) reports about the number of clients, where they went, and the game they killed.
