Louisiana considers universal licensing legislation

The Louisiana House Committee on Commerce has approved a bill allowing for universal recognition of occupational licenses and certifications from other states as long as the applicant has been licensed for a year in good standing in their home state. Boards would have 60 days to respond to an applicant but could still deny licensure if the training or education does not meet Louisiana standards.
