Alaska governor proposes budget increase for licensing division
Alaska's governor has proposed a budget and staffing increase for the Division of Corporations, Businesses, and Professional Licensing, including 12 new licensing positions at a cost of $1.5 million. The proposals come amid an increase of 64% in the number of liceses issued in the last ten years and 39 license examiner positions being vacant, as well as an increased number of professions falling under the division.
