Update: NH governor's licensing reforms may not pass
New Hampshire's governor has proposed the deregulation of 34 occupations and professions and the removal of investigative and oversight power of 30 licensing boards. New Hampshire legislators are planning to reject most of the proposals as they develop the budget. The establishment of a new Office of Regulatory Review, Reduction and Government Efficiency is also not included in the budget.
The House has approved licensure for two new occupations - musical therapists and recreational scuba divers to catch lobsters.
