Louisiana approves limited X-ray operator permit

The Occupational Licensing review Commission in Louisiana has approved a limited X-ray machine operator permit. There is a shortage of radiologic technologists to cover urgent care clinics in the state. The limited radiologic technologist permit will allow practitioners to operate and train under a licensed radiologic technologist and may become a pathway to full licensure.
