Update: Wisconsin agency to be audited over licensure delays

Wisconsin's Legislative Audit Committee will conduct an audit of the Wisconsin Department of Safety and Professional Services to look at the funding the department has received, staffing levels, and best practices. The audit is in response to backlogs and delys in license processing, which the agency attributes to staffing shortages, outdated computer systems, and insufficient funding.
