Connecticut considers cap on occupational licensing fees

A bill under consideration in Connecticut would establish the maximum fee agencies could charge for an occupational license at $100. Testimony in support of the bill during the public hearing focused on reducing economic barriers to abtaining a license and allowing prospective workers clarity about the fees and assurance that the fees will not increase beyond the maximum amount.
