North Carolina Dental Board issues position on compacts
The North Carolina State Board of Dental Examiners has issued a position statement in support of the American Association of Dental Boards version of a licensure compact for dentists and dental hygienists. Two versions of a licensure compact have been proposed - one by the AADB and one by the Council of State Governments. One key difference between the two versions is that the CSG proposal would create a compact commission with taxing and fee levying authority on member states, whereas the AADB version would only collect fees from practitioners who seek to obtain a compact license.
