Quebec: commissioner's investigation recommends nursing exam delay
After unusually high failure rates on Quebec's nurse licensure exam, an investigation was launched. A preliminary report has been relased, noting "worrisome elements" related to the exam, student preparation, and possible prejudice. The Commissioner for Admission to the Professions recommends that the March 2023 exam administration be delayed during the ongoing investigation and that candidates for whom the September 2022 exam was their third failed attemptbe allowed an additional attempt. The office of Quebec's Health Minister is reviewing the report.
