North Carolina: changes to teacher licensing

The North Carolina State Board of Education is set to adopt the Professional Educator Preparation and Standards Commission's "Blueprint for Action." The proposal would creat a tiered system of certifications, with an entry-level certification for educators with assocaites degrees to teach while pursuing their bachelors all the way to an advanced teacher license for veteran teachers in leadership roles. Compensation would increase for the higher certification levels.
