NMC launches helpline for public to raise concerns

The Nursing and Midwifery Council in the UK has launched a dedicated helpline for members of the public who are considering raising a concern about a practitioner. Staff on the helpline will guide people through the referral process, helping them to provide all the necessary information for a complete referral. During the pilot phase, the helpline handled mre than 850 callers.
