Kansas reviews social worker licensing exam
Representatives of the Council on Social Work Education and the Kansas chapter of the National Association of Social Workers have raised concerns about disparities in first time pass rates for people of color and older test takers. For the bachelor's, master's, and clinical certification levels, white test takers passed over 20% more often on their first try than people of color and people over 50. The American Social Work Board is currently launching a social work census to survey social workers about what they do to determine how well the exam reflects that.
