Illinois considers bills to address licensing delays

A bill under consideration in the Illinois House would require the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation to accept online payments via credit card for licensure and renewal fees, as well as accept payment through a third-party payment agent. Another bill would make permanent the power of the DFPR to issue licenses and temporary licenses to health care professionals on an expedited basis, as was done during the COVID-19 pandemic.
