The Tennessee Department of Commerce & Insurance’s (TDCI) Division of Regulatory Boards reported processing 163,496 initial or renewal professional license applications in 2024, an increase of 8,559 from the previous year. The average processing time for initial licenses was reduced by over six days, now averaging 12.71 days. The division also addressed 4,467 consumer complaints, conducted 21,032 inspections, and managed 239,869 customer inquiries with a 96.15% satisfaction rate. Additionally, $1.938 million in civil penalties were assessed for regulatory violations. Initiatives such as the Comprehensive Online Regulatory & Enforcement System and the Special Case Licensure Hub have enhanced service efficiency and accessibility.
