RI: HEALTH Initiative legislation awaits signature

Rhode Island's Holistic Enhancement and Access Legislation for Total Health has been approved by the General Assembly and awaits the governor's signature. Among other items, the legislation will provide funding for clinical training; develop a scholarship program for healthcare professionals who commit to practicing in Rhode Island; adopt the social work, counseling, audiology, and occupational therapy compacts; and allow nurses to practice prior to completion of the nursing licensure exam.
