MI: governor orders elimination of conviction box on applications

Michigan's governor has issued an order that job applications and certain occupational licensing applications can no longer require applicants to check a box if they have a previous criminal conviction. Instead, applicants will be asked to affirm their good character. The new policy will not apply to some licensure applications in the medical field that require criminal history questions due to existing state or federal law.
