Georgia: investigation into licensing division launched

Georgia's lieutenant governor and House speaker have launched a Blue Ribbon Committee investigation to determine the cause of licensing delays in the Secretary of State's office. The state's online licensing system launched last fall has caused account access issues for many applicants. Georgia's Secretary of State has stressed the need for revenue generated by the licensing division to go back into funding needed resources at the division rather than being redirected to the general fund.
