California joins states mandating textured hair education for cosmetology

A new law in California requires textured hair education as part of cosmetology licensure requirements. Over 200 cosmetology schools and institutions are located in California. According to a bill sponsor, "The enactment of this landmark textured hair education legislation means those schools can now train even more stylists to serve the diverse beauty needs of all Californians."
