AICOA and NASBA sponsored program for CPA education requirements
The American Institute of CPAs and the National Association of Social Work Boards have completed a pilot program, the Experience, Learn and Earn (ELE) Program, allowing participants an alternate path to attain the final 30 hours of education required for CPA licensure. "The ELE program is for individuals who have completed their bachelor’s degree and core accounting classes but possess fewer than the 150 credit hours required for licensure." Graduates are hired as paid staff of and ELE-affiliated employer and take online courses at an affordable rate supported by their employer as they work towards CPA licensure.
