Public Protection through Licensee Well-Being and Healthy Practice
CLEAR Learning - Webinar

Event Details
Regulatory bodies play a crucial role in ensuring that practitioners in various fields maintain safe, effective, and ethical standards throughout their careers. Traditionally, this has been achieved through a focus on minimum legal requirements and the completion of continuing education. However, research indicates that continuing education alone may not be sufficient to guarantee ongoing competence and prevent harm to the public.
The Healthcare Regulatory Research Institute (HRRI) developed the Healthy Practice Resource (HPR), a validated self-assessment tool aimed at helping licensees identify potential risks and access resources to promote healthy practice. This session will provide participants with an opportunity to complete one module of the HPR and discuss its relevance to their professions.
By shifting the focus from mere compliance with legal standards to a more holistic approach centered around healthy practice, regulators could potentially better ensure the well-being of both practitioners and the public they serve. Join us to explore this innovative approach to continuing competence.
