Pennsylvania considers temporary fix for compact barriers

A bill under consideration in Pennsylvania would allow licensing boards to create 3-year temporary regulations in order to fully implement interstate compacts to allow Pennsylvania nurses, physicians, and others to receive reciprocity in other compact states. The barrier has been concerning criminal background check requirements through the Department of State and the FBI. A second bill under consideration would address the process for criminal background checks.
