Saskatchewan: expanded scope of practice for pharmacists

The list of conditions for which Saskatchewan pharmacists can prescribe medications has expanded to include treating nausea during pregnancy and treating recurrent genital herpes. Pharmacists must complete appropriate training and meet competency requirements before being allowed to prescribe such medications and treatments. The list of conditions for which pharmacists can prescribe now includes 30 conditions.
